Using both traditional and electronic navigation by day this course covers the practical use of pilotage and passage planning on coastal waters. Building on the foundation knowledge of powerboat Level 2, this course is suited to those who aim to drive larger more powerful powerboats. The course covers more advanced boating skills including planing at speed.
Assumed knowledge: Candidates should be competent to the standard of RYA Powerboat Level 2. A first aid, VHF/SRC operator’s certificate and have good Day Skipper theory knowledge.
